Biratnagar fire claims property over Rs. 1.2 M

BIRATNAGAR: Property worth Rs. 1.2 million was gutted after a house caught fire instigated due to gas leakage in Biratnagar Sub-metropolitan City Ward No. 5, on Wednesday night.

House of Bhaiyaram Sunar was caught in the fire at around 10:00 pm. The inferno gutted property worth Rs. 1.2 million including gold, silver and cash, according to the District Police Office.

Locals, police and firefighters immediately brought the fire under control.

No human casualty has been reported in the incident.
